On Sunday, we woke before the sun was up. There was rain, but not too bad. We tore down camp, found a spot for breakfast (read: coffee) and hit Watkins Glen State Park.
The gorge trail extends for more than a mile and overlooks some 19 waterfalls. It was stunning, even in the grey conditions.
There are staircases and pathways cut through the stone....all very dark and mysterious.
And at every turn, you are rewarded with the most gorgeous views.

19 waterfalls??!! Be still my heart! Sounds like a wonderful place to hike and hang out! Does Dave understand about your photo "affliction"? ;-) Really like that last shot with him at the top of the stairs.

Love the stone bridge - as well as the beautiful sites. What a hike - but looks like it was so worth it!
What a fun place to explore! I hope the lighting was good enough once you got into that intriguing place!
