American Gothic

This is St. Peter Cathedral in Erie. I'm no longer a practicing Catholic, but I can still enjoy this as a beautiful piece of Gothic Revival architecture.Yeah, yeah, I know the POTD theme this week is vehicles and architecture is next week....sue me!

Hey, I'll look at shots like these all day long with NO complaints! These are stunning- the greens in the windows in the color versions is GORGEOUS but I have to agree, the b&ws are taking my vote today! It really brings out that amazing texture and makes them feel SO moody- I love it! :)

These are so cool! I really like the b&w. I can so see a Stephen King novel taking place in these.

Catholics never get over the sense of awe in the architecture and iconography, and you've got wonderful angles on the stained glass window here. Love it all.

These are so beautiful. I love the acid/urban feel to some of the colors and I also love the conversions for b/w. They seem mysterious and spooky almost.
