12th Street, part 1

I've been wanting to take some shots in an industrial area here for quite some time now. We finally got out last week, but it was getting late and the light faded quickly. There are lots of shots I still need to capture, so we'll definitely need to get back there very soon.

interesting photos. i'm curious what made you want to take pictures of it? was it the textures or something else that made it an object of your camera affection :-)??

You find the neatest places to shoot! Love the textures and reflection in the first shot with the glass bricks, and the lighting and angles in the last one. Very neat.

These are so cool! What a nice variety of textures and colors you have down there! I have a wall of those glass cubes in my basement (yeah, my house is OLD LOL) and I never thought to photograph them before! Neat! :)

You got some cool reflections, and I love the way the sunlight is hitting the tip of the building in the last shot.

Some really nice captures. I'd love to see the one of the hydrant in B&W.

I like the last shot, too, because the combination of barn and factory is so postmodern. At the UC here in town, architects have designed buildings to look just like that. LOL

What a super fun location! I love these shots! It totally makes me want to go out and take some pics at some of the old warehouses around town! Fun shots!

Great place to think of the shoot at. I like the hydrant with the grates compostition and the lighting on the last one.

I love the fire hydrant and old grate. Who'd of thought they'd make such an appealing photo?
