It has been raining here almost all day long. Also, it's downright chilly...only 59 degrees right now! So to make me feel like it's still summer, I'll post these flower shots from our friends Paul and Patty's.
Paul and Patty are good friends who were awesome enough to invite us out for a barbecue yesterday. They plant the most beautiful gardens throughout the backyard. All of these shots are from their place. 
They have a kick-ass collection of gnomes...
and a special little flock of flamingos.
Of course, the real stars of the garden are the flowers. 
I need to make a note to myself to look back on these in the dead of winter, to remind me of the glorious warmth and color of summer.

Don't you love what close-ups like this do to the background? The purples and what look like lights--beautiful. That flock of flamingos is fabulous! LOL

They sure do have a nice yard, those are some beautiful flowers! Cute gnomes too, one of my neighbors has about a hundred of them around their property, on their roof, etc.
