Things that fly

We took a drive to Allegany today and saw the osprey again.

Just like last time, when we approached the nest, the female rose up and headed off, while the male left his perch and circled overhead.

I was hoping that we might even be able to see some babies, but no dice. It was still enthralling to see the male protecting his territory.

Eventually, he alighted on the edge of the nest and we decided to leave so he could have a well-deserved rest.

And then, on the way home, we were treated to another flying creature.

We saw someone enjoying their motorized paraglider. He must have had a great view!

And on an unrelated yet very important note, Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there!
