These will be the last of my Bayfront People series for now...I don't have anymore saved up! I'll need to get down there and take a few more. There are always some interesting characters down there.
Doesn't this guy look like he's just humoring his wife by hanging at the dock for a few minutes? (Really I think he was humoring me because he was uncomfortable when I asked if I could take their pictures.)

This lady was a hoot. She started asking about my camera and then told me stories of getting pictures made as a young girl and how the photographer would travel from town to town in their area and set up at the church and it was a very big deal to have your picture made.
As always, CC is welcome and appreciated.

The last shot is really nice.
First of all...I'm so impressed you asked them if you could take their picture. Most of the time I just do it regardless. I like the BnW for these, gives it a photojournalistic feel.
That last photo rocks!!! WOW. These are all great!
Cari
wow those are amamzing! I agree wit Heather the bnw is so cool for it.
Dude is so PISSED! That was a long ride home. "Fran, I told you I didn't want to go down to that damn dock. It's friggin hot as hell and there is pigeon sh!t everywhere. All of the decent parking spots are handicapped and the snack shop wasn't even open. Then this crazy broad comes by with her camera and asks if she can take our pictures. Take a picture of this, you crazy broad!!!" *sigh* Good times.
You are WAY braver than me! Love the b&w's of the fishing lady, and the detail of her hands.....
You go girl - would never have the courage to ask strangers to take their pics!! Love that last shot!!
These ARE quite the characters! I love the fishing lady- she looks like she was really cool to talk to!
Kudos, Amy! These are really neat. That hub sure looks like he was humoring his wife! (Let's go...the game's starting...) Love that last shot.
So did she catch anything? You are braver than I--I'm too chicken to ask to take people's pictures. Or maybe they just don't interest me that much LOL.
Wow, I couldn't imagine asking strangers to take pictures of them. Kudos to you. I really like the pictures of the older woman fishing.
As for the comment you left on my blog (about my sister's shorts) no offense taken. I have to say I probably agree, but in truth, if I had her legs I would probably want to show them off too. :)
have to agree--you rock with the asking if you could take pictures. i usually pretend that i'm not doing it:) love that last one. it has tons of character.
I am way too neurotic take photos of strangers. Shoot, I'd carry around that guy's scowl for a week, feeling guilty. LOL YOU are brave, and look at the excellent results.
Love the characters you captured, you really found stories to tell. The lady dressed up to fish is a perfect story.
As for cc- your focus is a little soft. YOu didn't post your settings, so I'm not sure if it's camera shake or just plain focus.
Your composition is really telling me a story, which for street photography is the point. Kudos to you, you've got some nice work here!
I'd love to know what that guy is thinking! :) Love the last shot.
wow.... i wouldn't even have the guts to ask a stranger to take their picture! Good for you! I really like the b/w's best and I really like the last one of her hands....
Very nice photos! I really like the last one!
I love those last ones...the b.w is great.
Very, very impressive! I bet most of them are actually flattered that you ask. And all turned out wonderful, telling their own unique stories.
You are so brave asking if you can take strangers pictures! I wish I could be like that. These are such great shots, and even if he looks like he is humoring you I think you really captured some personality here.
